Most consecutive wins from the first race of a season
- Value
- 5 each
- Held by
- Nigel Mansell, Michael Schumacher
How it is derived
The completed championship races of each season in date order (races.date_iso, then round), the Indianapolis 500 of 1950-60 included: the races a driver won from the season's first before the first they did not win, whether or not they entered it. A run stops at the season's end, and a shared drive's win counts for both drivers. Shared: Nigel Mansell, 1992 South African Grand Prix to 1992 San Marino Grand Prix; Michael Schumacher, 2004 Australian Grand Prix to 2004 Spanish Grand Prix. Next: Ayrton Senna 4 (1991 United States Grand Prix to 1991 Monaco Grand Prix), Michael Schumacher 4 (1994 Brazilian Grand Prix to 1994 Monaco Grand Prix), Nico Rosberg 4 (2016 Australian Grand Prix to 2016 Russian Grand Prix).
